Pocket House 01:

Our first Pocket House has a lovely storey behind it. Two couples, who are great friends, decided to buy and subdivide a site in this beautiful seaside town. One couple decided to build a custom designed Goodhouse, whereas this couple has chosen to go with a three-bedroom Pocket House. The two houses will be connected by a thoughtfully designed garden and entertaining space, giving the couples the ability to feel connected whilst also having the privacy of their own garden spaces.

Pocket House 04:

PH04 clients came to Goodhouse hoping to build a high quality, smaller sustainable home, suitable for ageing in place. Once they heard about Pocket House, they were relieved to find that we had already designed what they needed. With low threshold steps, wider hallways and doors, and provision for grabrails in bathroom spaces, PH04 will meet their needs well. As keen gardeners, they loved the beautiful established gum tree at the front of the property, and so we chose to move the Pocket House further from the street in order to protect this tree and give them additional front garden area to plant out. Smaller footprint homes equal more green space!

  • 1000m2 block

  • 3 bedroom PH with double garage on the west

  • Living area facing north and pergolas along whole eastern side

  • 2 x 19kL rainwater tanks
